Hello, I am Arjun.

An engineer turned entrepreneur who gets excited about building things that look like science fiction today but become everyday tools tomorrow.

By day, I am a Fulbright-Nehru Postdoctoral Fellow at the Harvard John A. Paulson School of Engineering and Applied Sciences, working with Prof. Shriya Srinivasan. My research here focuses on bioelectronic neural interfaces for gut health, blending engineering and biology to explore how we can restore or modulate physiological functions through intelligent, minimally invasive devices.

And by night (yes, a bit like BATMAN), I lead Sahas Labs, where we build technologies that sound like sci-fi but are very real:

  1. Lights-Out Labs that test materials without human intervention

  2. Modular automation systems that plug and play like Lego, replacing rigid PLCs

  3. Robots that take on non-standard industrial tasks with intelligence and finesse

  4. Custom sensors that give industries a digital nervous system for monitoring and prediction

The big goal? To transform complex industrial and medical challenges into effortless, intelligent systems, using a mix of robotics, automation, and deep-tech ingenuity.

At Sahas, I now lead a team of 20 engineers and scientists across robotics, embedded systems, and analytics, all united by a belief that deep tech can drive both industrial efficiency and human well-being. The startup benefits immensely from the cutting-edge scientific ecosystem I am exposed to at Harvard, while my research gains from the practical engineering mindset we have built at Sahas. It’s a virtuous loop, innovation at one side fuels impact on the other.

I did my Ph.D. at the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, diving deep into sensors, robotics, and microfabrication. More importantly, I learned how to turn bold ideas into patents, papers, and prototypes.

What excites me most is not just the technology but the journey of building, mentoring young engineers, experimenting with bold ideas, and shaping a team that thrives on curiosity, integrity, and impact.

If you are curious about robotics, automation, or bioelectronics, or just love ideas that blur the line between science and imagination, let’s connect.
